D.A.R.E. Graduation

DARE

Bridgepoint 5th grade students participated in DARE Graduation this afternoon.  DARE stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education.  Students participate in the program, run by the Jeffersonville Police Department, and learn the importance of healthy social relationships and how to say, “No,” to drugs.  At the end of the program, an essay contest is held so the students can synthesize their learning from the DARE program.  Representatives from each classroom are chosen as the DARE Essay Contest Winners.  This year’s winners are Sammi Sanders, Alexander Austin, Kevonna Lassiter, and Ariel Wolfe.  Congratulations to those students and ALL of our Bridgepoint 5th graders!
